Indirect-Fired Water Heaters
If you’re tired of running out of hot water, here’s the solution. Replace your old, inefficient electric water heater with a more efficient oil-fueled alternative.
On average, oil-fired water heaters heat water five times faster than electric units and they can cut your water heating costs by hundreds of dollars a year.
If you have a boiler for heating your home, we suggest an indirect water heater, which is basically a storage tank with coils inside. Hot water from the boiler heats passes through the coil, which heat’s up the water surrounding it.
When the boiler is running to heat the home, the water heater is at peak efficiency. That’s because the energy produced by the boiler for home heating also heats the “domestic” water, i.e., water for baths, showers, laundry and similar uses.
